dr. bo felix
Dr. Bo Felix is the founder of Felix Equine Dentistry, a Northern California practice dedicated exclusively to equine dental care. With more than two decades of experience in the field and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Western University of Health Sciences, Dr. Felix provides dental services for horses throughout California for their performance, breeding, and pleasure. He also serves as Certification Director for the Equine Dental Providers of America (EDPA).
Bo is married to his best friend, Sarah, and has 4 children: Quincy, Logan, Tanner, and Peyton. In his free time, he enjoys training horses and team roping.

2003
2000
In 2000, Dr. Felix training horses full-time and was introduced to equine dentistry.
In 2003, Bo earned certification from the International Association of Equine Dentistry after a three-day certification examination.
2011
In May of 2011, Bo graduated from veterinary school and resumed his equine dental practice as a veterinarian.
2002
He took a yearlong apprenticeship with a veterinarian whose practice was limited to equine dentistry.
2007
From 2003 to 2007, Bo provided equine dental services to veterinarians and their clients. Bo's passion to provide the best possible equine dental services to his clients led him to veterinary school.
joe
Joe is an EDPA-certified Equine Dentist who had worked with Dr. Felix for four years. Following his four years with Dr. Felix, Joe served five years in the Air Force, then returned to the practice again in 2024.
Together, Dr. Felix and Joe leverage their collective years of experience and a genuine passion for the field to provide dedicated care for every horse they work on.
brenda
Rooted in Placerville for 42 years, Brenda is the central point of contact between you and Dr Felix. She supports our team beautifully by keeping our schedule organized and providing excellent customer service. She has a natural gift for it!
When she's not working, Brenda enjoys walking, kayaking on the lake, and relaxing by the beach. A lifelong animal lover, she has shared her home and heart with many dogs over the years.
